Safety Council Meeting FY25
Join us for our upcoming Safety Council meeting. These monthly meetings take place on the first Thursday of each month at the Neeley Center from 11:30 am to 1 pm. Just a friendly reminder, members of the safety council are required to attend a minimum of 10 meetings during the fiscal year 2025 to qualify for a rebate on their workers' compensation premium.

Speaker: Jim PoseyJim Posey is a dedicated Health Educator with Sandusky County Public Health (SCPH), where he has served since 2020. With a background in the prevention field since 2018, Jim brings extensive experience in community health education and harm reduction strategies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science from Bowling Green State University and an Associate's Degree from Owens Community College.
As an Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant and a Certified Harm Reduction Specialist, Jim is passionate about helping individuals and communities address public health challenges. At SCPH, he oversees the Save a Life Naloxone Program, where he collaborates with community partners to educate and train individuals on the proper use of Naloxone in opioid crisis situations. Under Jim’s leadership, the program has seen remarkable growth, expanding from the distribution of 158 kits in 2023 to 601 kits in 2024.
In addition to his work at SCPH, Jim serves as a Lifestyle Coach at the YMCA, where he helps individuals make lasting, healthy lifestyle changes. He is also a Board Trustee at Fremont Community Theatre, contributing his time and expertise to support the arts and community engagement.
