The Ribbon cutting will take place at their new visitors sign located in the parking lot across from their office at 712 North St, Fremont. at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 14. Sandusky County Achieves #1 Tourism Sales Growth in Ohio
Sandusky County, Ohio - The latest economic impact report from Tourism Economics, an Oxford Economics Company, reveals that Sandusky County has achieved the highest tourism sales growth in the state of Ohio, with an impressive increase of 31.03% from 2021 to 2023. This remarkable growth rate is nearly double the statewide average of 16.86%.
Economic Highlights for Northwest Ohio (2021-2023):
Visitor spending in Northwest Ohio generated $9.0 billion in total sales.
This spending supported 73,081 jobs and generated $2.0 billion in income.
Tax revenues from visitor spending reached $1.1 billion.
Sandusky County?s Economic Impact:
Total sales from visitor spending: $229.3 million.
Jobs supported: 2,035.
Total Labor Income Impact: $55.5 million.
Tax revenues: $29 million.
